"Many women start studying ecology, but they never finish," Ana Elisa said. "They get married, have kids, and when they wish to return it is a bit late. I want to defy that (trend)." in Young Latina Blazes Trail In Environmental Activism in Puerto-Rico

Exactly what I've been thinking about most women who attempt to pursue long-term ambitions. I'm on the same boat as her. We need more women independently commited to lead and serve, and finish what they set out to do in the first place, instead of getting carried away with the nuclear-family kit pre-planned for most latinas.

  1. What you're trying to do is hard to obtain because this means that you have to practice abstinence, girl.

  2. You need not practice abstinence to finish some long-term ambition. Plenty of women simply have partners but don't go to the extent of getting married and having kids.
